The 11 Colors to Wear This Fall

Wondering what colors are going to be hot this fall?  Just as we reported the top colors for Spring 2014, Pantone recently unveiled their Fall 2014 Color Report, and the palette looks beautiful!

Pantone - radiant orchid

1.Radiant Orchid

Since this is Pantone’s Color of the Year, it’s no surprise to see it pop up on the fall report. This is a perfect accessory color for the fall months. A scarf, a necklace, or even a top to layer under a blazer will be perfect in this color.

Pantone - aluminum

2 .Aluminum

Whoever said “Gray is the new black” was spot on! This gorgeous neutral is the perfect alternative to black, and provides a great foundation to any of the colors on this list. Before you grab those new black pants for work, why not look for a shade of gray?

Pantone - Aurora Red

3. Aurora Red

This deep crimson color is practically a neutral itself. It’s warm, earthy tone makes it a perfect pair for blues, yellows, greens, grays, and even some purples. If you are looking for a new cardigan or a fun statement necklace, this color is perfect!

Pantone -royal blue

4. Royal Blue

The perfect mix of blue and purple. This color is nothing short of regal, and a blazer or a pair of heels in this color tells everyone that you are basically royalty.

Royal for sure.

Royal for sure.

Pantone - Misted yellow

5. Misted Yellow

It’s like the perfect marriage of yellow, gold, sand, and beige. You may not only want to wear it, but you may just want to paint a wall in your house Misted Yellow. (Yes, Pantone offers these colors in paint too!)  This color can be a little tricky with skin tones that have yellow undertones, but a belt or purse in this color is the perfect way to add it into your wardrobe for the season.

Pantone - Sangria

6. Sangria

This deep plum color is just begging to be in your closet. If you have a fancy night out , fall wedding, or cocktail party to attend, this is the color to wear. A simple cocktail sheath in Sangria will stand out in the best possible way.

Pantone - Mauve Mist

7. Mauve Mist

Normally, you think pastels are only for spring/summer. But this light purple is a great fall color. Try an almost monochromatic look by pairing it with Aluminum, or let it be the neutral foundation and pair it with Royal Blue.

Pantone- Cognac

8. Cognac

Is it brown? Is it purple? Is it dark red? Who cares! This gorgeous color can be paired with virtually anything and look amazing. It’s like a color chameleon. A jacket in this color would be perfect for fall, or a great pair of jeans.

Pantone- Bright Cobalt

9. Bright Cobalt

The absolute perfect shade of blue. This color would look especially awesome paired with yellows, and is a lovely shade for some new accessories. A scarf in this shade of blue would compliment virtually any outfit!

Pantone - Cypress

10. Cypress

This dark green shade is a great addition to your fall palette. It offers a really nice foundation color to shades of purple like Mauve Mist and Radiant Orchid, without making you out to look like The Joker.  A light jacket in this shade would be totally chic in a utilitarian sort of way.

Pantone - Sea Fog

11. Sea Fog

If blue, gray, and purple all fell in a paint can together, this would be the resulting color. There is literally nothing that wouldn’t look good in this color.  From bedsheets to blouses and pillows to purses,  Sea Fog is a great color to add to your color palette this fall.
